Trisha Yearwood, who now spends most of her time at home with hubby Garth Brooks in Oklahoma, will return to Music City to host this year's Christmas at Belmont concert, Dec. 7 at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The Belmont University alum will be joined by 400-plus student singers, members of the Belmont School of Music faculty and the Nashville Children's Choir, offering a mix of traditional Christmas carols and other holiday favorites. The invitation-only event will be taped for PBS and is scheduled for broadcast nationally on Dec. 23.
"I loved my Belmont experience, and I'm honored to be a part of this year's [event]," says Trisha, a 1987 Belmont graduate.
Other artists who have participated in this event over the years include country legend Brenda Lee, Josh Turner and 'American Idol' finalist Melinda Doolittle.
