Carrie Underwood, whose superstar career was launched on the FOX television network, will soon return there for her very own musical-variety special. Tentatively titled 'Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special,' the 'American Idol' champ will be joined by her CMA Awards co-host Brad Paisley, as well as Dolly Parton, David Cook and a few surprise guests. As the title suggests, the two-hour spectacular will feature Carrie performing holiday tunes, in addition to several of her familiar hits. The singer will also spotlight songs from her new album, 'Play On,' due in stores Nov. 3.
Carrie is nominated for two CMA Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year. Her lead-off single from the new album, 'Cowboy Casanova,' is already in the Top 10.
'Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special' airs Monday, Dec. 7, at 8:00 PM ET on FOX.
