Garth Brooks to Headline Series of Las Vegas Concerts?

Garth BrooksGarth Brooks will hold a press conference this Thursday (Oct. 15) in Nashville to put the rumors to rest. Yes, he is coming out of retirement.

According to Las Vegas Weekly, the biggest-selling solo artist of all time will set up shop in Sin City to headline a series of concerts at the Encore/Wynn Casino and Resort. We'll find out Thursday if that report is true and if so, when his Las Vegas shows will start.

Garth parked his tour bus in 2001 and vowed not to return to the road until his youngest daughter goes to college. Since then, he has performed at a few special shows and charity events, President Obama's inaugural celebration, as well as a handful of concerts in support of his 'Ultimate Hits' album. But first and foremost, he's been playing Dad to his three daughters at home in Oklahoma.

I was a major Garth fan back in the day. All of his retirement BS bored me though. A one man show for $125.00 a ticket? That is WAY too high. Add Ty England and the rest of his band, and yes, I would go for it if I happened to be in Vegas. And by the way Garth, we are SO sick of you always blabbing about your girls and Miss Yearwood. Isn't she Mrs Brooks now? Just give us a break please!!! You're a big fat fraud in the way you have handled the retirements and then putting out a few new songs on an Ultimate Hits box, just so you can sell the same songs over and over. I feel sorry for your real fans who get screwed over by you because all they want is new music, not crap they've heard for 15 yrs. Garth is a good artist and I respect his music, but I don't respect the mind games he plays with his real fans....he's a hoke if you ask me. Also, no cameras allowed in the show because he doesn't want any of his stuff on Youtube. Get a grip Garth. Not everyone can fly to Vegas and pay $125.00 to see you. Since you have more money than your grandchildren would ever need, so why be worried about Youtube? I guess you need to fuel your ex wifes raging drug problems...or something??? It also bothers me that he is not going to bring back the band that brought his live show to the awesome level it was. That's harsh and greedy.

Lets face it. Now that Kenny Chesney has decided to take a rest, Garth will not have to compete with someone who can sing way better then him!!!!
