Garth Brooks will hold a press conference this Thursday (Oct. 15) in Nashville to put the rumors to rest. Yes, he is coming out of retirement.According to Las Vegas Weekly, the biggest-selling solo artist of all time will set up shop in Sin City to headline a series of concerts at the Encore/Wynn Casino and Resort. We'll find out Thursday if that report is true and if so, when his Las Vegas shows will start.
Garth parked his tour bus in 2001 and vowed not to return to the road until his youngest daughter goes to college. Since then, he has performed at a few special shows and charity events, President Obama's inaugural celebration, as well as a handful of concerts in support of his 'Ultimate Hits' album. But first and foremost, he's been playing Dad to his three daughters at home in Oklahoma.

I'm confident that he will still suck so blandly as to regain his mass appeal. Thanks, stupids for keeping crap like this in business.

I lost respect for this guy in the mid 90's when he bragged during a national TV interview that he had earned so much money that his grandkids' grandkids would never have to work. Gimme a break! If this is true he's only coming out of retirement because he needs his ego stroked (Again) or he's grown tired of his new wife already and needs to get out of the house!
