Keni Thomas has the esteemed honor of singing the national anthem at the opening game of the 40th World Series tonight (Oct. 28). The country singer, who served in the U.S. Army throughout the 90s, will perform in tribute to his fellow American heroes."As a veteran, it's a privilege and an honor to be part of Major League Baseball's tribute to veterans, and to represent country music," he says.
Among Keni's many missions as a U.S. Army Ranger and Staff Sergeant was the deadly Battle of Mogadishu, which was immortalized in the book and movie, 'Black Hawk Down.' Since leaving active duty, the singer has dedicated much of his time and money to help veterans and their families.
You can watch Keni's performance of the national anthem before the New York Yankees take on Philadelphia Phillies in the best-of-seven opener tonight at 7:30 PM EST on FOX.
