When Clint Black competed on the reality show, 'Celebrity Apprentice,' he brought national attention to a neurological disorder, Rett syndrome, which took the life of his 16-year-old niece in 2003. Rett syndrome is a brain disorder that affects development in childhood which often is mistaken for Autism in girls. Clint is now lending his hand to support the International Rett Syndrome Foundation by taking on the role of honorary chairman for a special fundraiser concert and golf tournament. The event hopes to raise at least $3 million for research and treatment. "It's a terrible disease," says Clint. "I am eager to support the research on the horizon that can help reverse Rett syndrome."
