Alan Jackson Reveals Plans for Next Album

Alan JacksonWhile Alan Jackson has been putting the finishing touches on a new album, the follow-up to his 2008 platinum-selling 'Good Time,' he's also got a few previously-unreleased tracks on the collection he's just released to Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores.

"['Songs of Love and Heartache'] has got a couple of new cuts on it that are really cool that I'm glad finally made it on an album," Alan tells The Boot. "As far as a regular album, we're just finishing up. A single will come out this month; the album probably March [of] next year."

Alan's Cracker Barrel-exclusive CD, 'Songs of Love and Heartache,' features 'That's What I'd Be Like Without You,' which he originally recorded for his 2004 disc, 'What I Do,' and 'Nothing Sure Looked Good on You,' a cover of the Gene Watson hit Alan recorded for his 1999 collection of covers, 'Under the Influence.' The disc also features 10 of Alan's hits, including 'Remember When' and 'Livin' on Love.' The CD is part of the exclusive Alan Jackson Cracker Barrel collection the singer unveiled on Monday (Nov. 2).

This year, Cracker Barrel has released albums by George Jones, Montgomery Gentry, Dolly Parton and the Zac Brown Band.
