Tim McGraw, wife Faith Hill, and daughters Gracie, Maggie and Audrey have finally moved into the home they've been building the past several years in Nashville. While it was supposed to be about a two-year project, the whole thing took closer to four years. "We're in it now -- we actually moved in about a week ago," Faith excitedly announced on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show.' "It's the first home we've ever built from the ground up. We've always remodeled and lived in a place we knew we were going to move out of."
Over the years it took Tim and Faith to plan and design their new home, Faith found herself worrying that her decorating tastes might change from year to year.
"I was always pulling out tear sheets every time I'd see something, and I'd rip them out of magazines and put them in my purse. Some things we had already, and some things we collected from our travels around."
As for who had more of a hand in decorating, Faith says they both had a specific role to play.
"Tim's a big picture kind of guy. so he [would say], 'Oh, I've got an idea for this room ...' But he's not that great when it comes to details -- that's kind of left in my department!" she says with a laugh. "I'm pretty good with details."
Woefully, one detail Faith has tried to implement has thus far been a flop: keeping clothes off the floor.
"One thing I did try to do was put the hamper in Tim's closet, a little closer to where he might actually hit it occasionally. But it hasn't worked so far," she says. "But then, we've only been there a week, so I'll give him a little while longer before I have to come up with another solution." Considering her options for a moment, Faith adds brightly, "Maybe I should've done a chute. Maybe it would've been more interesting! Hmmm ... I think I'm gonna have to do that!"
While Faith's coming up with more ideas at home, Tim's keeping busy with the recent release of his long-awaited new album, 'Southern Voice,' and his latest big-screen role in 'The Blind Side.'

Are you serious? This is news? I was looking for something juicy...next thing you know, the way he loads the toilet paper on the roll will make news...

get real,it is a cute story. at least that is all she has to complain about.he must be a great guy otherwise.the Boot and Ellen made a deal out of it and it didnt happen that way. Ellen made the comment about it taking to long to get the house finished and Faith said she was tearing pages out to check to see if she wanted to change anything.

I am disappointed in this story. I know she has more than this to complain about him.

well i am sure she does, but considering she is a grown woman- she knows that the right thing to do is keep the private stuff private and let the little things ie: "he's a typical man who leaves his laundry on the floor" out of the bag. obviously she isnt the chatty gossip monger you are.

You actually think this is a STORY? You stole it from a TV interview and, about what?, her LAUNDRY. Good grief.

Thanks for the probing and thought-provoking article about Tim's dirty "personables."
This was the most news worthy story since the Washington post broke the Watergate scandal almost 40 years ago.
Please inform us on their next world-shattering update. Like, you know, Tim forgets to pick up eggs when Faith sends him to the market.

Who gives about how some uber rich democrats spend their millions? They are just more liberals who make millions for doing nothing of significance, and then campaign for liberal democrats who are constantly robbing us hardworking americans of our hard earned dollars to support illegal immigrants and welfare bums. I couldn't care less about their house or their furnishings. I just wish that these hypocrite democrats would put their money where their always flapping mouth are - and give their wealth away like their dope in the white house is doing with my tax dollars.

You folks have no sense of humor...so you see the news headlines and click on "dirty laundry" and come to find a story about just that. A sucker is born how often? The joke is on us, too funny.
jetraijaat 11-04-2009
unfortunately, she should have a professional decorater do her house, especially the money she has and no taste otherwise, let the husband have some say so, he has not done a fashion mistake yet

hey, so did you!

What a bunch of losers some of your are. You don't like Tim and Faith but you take your time to open an article about them thinking you may have some juicy news to make you feel better about your sorry lives.
Also to the person mentioning politics, last time I looked this was a free country and we are chose to support whoever we want. Least Tim is not out there demanding you to think like he does.
