Country fans were delighted by huge news this week, as the King and Queen of Country Music -- George Strait and Reba McEntire -- announced a joint tour in 2010."It's something that I think the fans have wanted for a long time," Reba said Tuesday on 'Live with Regis & Kelly.' "I've been really excited about it. We haven't toured together since the early '80s when we opened a show for Conway Twitty. This will be fun!"
Reba's tour with George kicks off in January, so she's now taking advantage of her free time before hitting the road. The singer and husband Narvel Blackstock have been doing a lot of traveling, with their latest adventure taking them to Hong Kong.
"I had a great time," Reba said of her exotic vacation. "You go some place and you're kind of like, 'I can go anywhere I want -- any place to eat and nobody says a thing!'"
While going incognito is sometimes refreshing for the bubbly entertainer, she also admits she missed her fans.
"After a while, it's like, 'Nobody said a word to me today!'" she adds with a pout, explaining that the American tourists in Hong Kong would do double takes but then shake it off thinking, "Nah, she wouldn't be here!"
Reba is now back at home, where she's prepping for next week's CMA Awards. She's up for Female Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year, for her duet with Brooks & Dunn, 'Cowgirls Don't Cry.'
