Kellie Pickler is no longer a blonde, but she's still a bombshell, nonetheless. The 'Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You' singer is now a redhead. Actually, auburn would be a more appropriate term to describe the new shade of her shoulder length tresses. Kellie gave her fans a head's up a few weeks ago via her Twitter page, stating "Incognito with my red hair. On Broadway in Nashville." And her fans have certainly responded ... some of them not so fondly.

"It's just hair! Some people don't even have hair," Kellie laments to The Boot. "So, while I have my hair, I'm going to play with it and experiment with it. When you get people that are just like, 'Oh my gosh, you're so much better as a blonde,' it's like where are your priorities?"

Kellie, who is a self-professed "beauty school drop-out," says she thought it would be fun to try something different. In fact, the former 'American Idol' contestant explains she's fascinated with hair and all that goes with it, but she probably wouldn't have made a career out of doing other people's hair. "I'm not very good at it, but hence, that's why I never finished [Cosmetology School]." The North Carolina native is happy with her new locks and says she'll "probably go back [to being] blonde sooner or later."

We couldn't find a photo of Kellie with her new auburn do, but if you want to catch a glimpse of the songbird with her new locks, she will be a presenter at the CMA Awards on Nov. 11. She's set to hand over the trophy for Song of the Year.
