Carrie disappointed me with her song and dance. She and her group looked like a bunch of Hookers looking for johns. CMA was definately not Country Western I was raised on. What has happened to Nashville?

what happened is Country got smart, got rid of the twang but kept the heart and is now not only the only music the entire family can listen to but it is also the music with the most radio stations nationwide! I enjoy Crystal and Loretta, but I love Reba, Carrie and Taylor. Country music is what I love.

Carrie's dresses were horrible & her performance was very trashy! It was gross how she stood with her legs so far apart while trusting her pelvic in those underwear shorts. She could of been more classy. She is trying to hard to keep on top by reinventing herself.

Country Music isn't Country Music anymore. It sounds more like Rock and Roll from the 70's. Give me George Jones, George Strait, Loretta, etc. Give me back the twang.

Country music didn't get smart,it got hot hijacked by a bunch of kids who don't know the meaning of the word "tradition"
What Taylor Swift,LeAnn Rimes,Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban are presenting is not country music one bit but it is a bunch of American Idol contestants and such who couldn't cut a deal in their on desired genre so they went over to country music and got a deal and now we know why they were turned down by other record companies.
Taylor,Carrie and LeAnn are all a combo of Whitney Houston and Madonna wanna-bes as well as Keith Urban is a Bryan Adams wanna-be except he sounds better than Bryan Adams but nevertheless they all have no place in country for they are not country at all.
What's next,an eighteen year old or younger girl dancing and singing like Shakira and calls it country music?

While I may agree with you that Carrie & Taylor (who at least writes her own stuff) may not understand and honor the tradition of country music you cannot say the same for Keith Urban.
No, his sound isn't traditionally country but that man understand and honors and respects the traditions and the music and the art form that is country music. It's obvious you don't listen to all of his music and performances to see that.
Keith should have been Entertainer of the Year. He puts on the best show I've ever seen in ANY genre.

Do not even put her in the same category as the Dixie Chicks!! Regardless of what you think of their behavior, one of those ladies has more talent in their little finger, than Rimes has in her whole over-blown ego body!!

You're being a bit too hard on LeAnn, I do like her music and think she is better than many of today's starlets. (I'll take her over the Britneys and Mileys of the world)
All this said, mind you, with my respect for her being seriously in doubt aside. (we all know why...at first I was in denial , but now the disappointment is sinking in)

George strait,george jones,randy travis, alan jackson, loretta lynn, Reba,garth brooks, ..i could go on..they were the really country music singers. carrie underwood has a beautiful voice and LeeAnn Rimes does too, but they will never touch the real original voices of country..It seems everyone wants to change everything today..

Really there is nothing wrong with the Dixie Chicks. What because they actually said what most of us were thinking, that they were ashamed of our former president. In case you all forgot Bush is the one who put us in this damned ecomony. He is one of our worst presidents. And the Dixie Chicks are great ladies with great talent. Cant wait til they come back and make another album.
