Taylor Swift Learned Interview Skills Early

Taylor Swift is an old pro at interviews these days, and that makes sense considering she began getting practical experience watching how they were done by the time she was just 14.

Country music publicist Jenny Bohler tells the Toledo Blade that Taylor was enlisted to escort artist Darryl Worley around the CMA Music Festival.

Scott Borchetta, the head of Taylor's label, Big Machine Records, had arranged for the up-and-coming singer-songwriter to act as the publicist's intern, giving Taylor the task of escorting Darryl to all of his interviews, which she did like a pro.

Apparently Taylor was already applying that same serious dedication not only to learning the inner workings of the business, but also to her songwriting -- and we all know how that turned out!

"She said, 'I'm texting the Warren Brothers to set up a writing appointment,'" recalls Bohler. "I've been texting them since I was 12 or 13. I'm very serious about my writing.' I said, 'Wow, this girl is going to go places.' She's been impressive since the first moment I met her."

From CMA Music Festival intern/artist escort to CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee, Taylor continues to impress. She'll open tonight's CMA Awards with the first performance of the night, and could be the last performer to take the stage before the credits roll! Tune in tonight beginning at 8 p.m. (ET) on ABC.
