Much of Dolly Parton's life story has been an open book, with the iconic entertainer never being one to shy away from candidly revealing things her fans want to know. So when ABC's Robin Roberts, co-host of 'Good Morning America,' asked her to reveal five things you might not know about the superstar, Dolly didn't disappoint -- she let it all hang out. That is, she revealed an incident where she almost let it all hang out!Asked by a fan about her most embarrassing onstage moment, Dolly says, "Once at Dollywood [her theme park in East Tennessee] ... I had a beaded dress that was really very, very tight and it popped right in the middle of a song. My background singer came over, got the guitar and put it up against me because my dress was coming forward. He backed me onstage, backed me into the dressing room and I changed and came back out on stage. I wear my clothes awfully tight."
Dolly also addresses the rumor that she once lost a Dolly Parton lookalike contest, saying, "True. At a Halloween contest years ago on Santa Monica Blvd. where all the guys were dressed up like me, I just over-exaggerated my look and went in and just walked up on stage. I didn't win. I didn't even come in close, I don't think."
The singer-actress also talks about how she came to be honorary godmother to Miley Cyrus, and reveals the one thing she never leaves the house without -- "my makeup and hair," she says. "Anything to do with my gaudy look."
Dolly is currently making the rounds of media outlets, spotlighting the new CD/DVD 'Dolly: Live in London.'
