Faith Hill will headline 'A Home for the Holidays,' the 11th annual CBS-TV special celebrating the joys of adoption next month. In addition to Faith, the show will feature performances by Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Mary J. Blige and Shakira, as well as appearances by actresses Jenna Elfman and Nia Vardalos, presenting inspirational stories about adoption. This is Faith's fourth time to do the show, which was partially initiated by adoptee Dave Thomas, the late founder of Wendy's restaurants.
"As a baby, I was adopted into a wonderful family," says Faith. "it's one of the truest testaments to unconditional love, and as long as you can really show a child support, mountains can be moved." Faith was adopted when she was just a few days old by Ted and Edna Perry, who had two older boys and wanted a daughter.
'The 11th Annual A Home for the Holidays with Faith Hill' special airs Dec. 23 on CBS.
