Levi Johnston Wants a Shot at Country Stardom

Levi JohnstonHe's currently best known as the hockey-playing father of Sarah Palin's grandson, but Levi Johnston will soon reveal all in the pages of Playgirl magazine (literally and figuratively). And what might the cheeky 19-year-old do for an encore? Why, country music, of course.

"I've always been a fan of Kenny Chesney and all of them," Levi tells New York magazine (via Access Hollywood). "They're all great and I give them all props."

Levi also promises, "In the next three months, you're going to be really excited about my career. I think my career is going to really take off and give me that big start. I've had offers to do movies, but I am not going to do anything until I do a couple of classes in LA."

No word on whether Levi is taking singing lessons, too -- or solicited Kenny for advice -- but the enterprising Alaskan insists of his musical aspirations, "I've come a long way and I've worked hard for it."

We'll wait to hear him sing before deciding if he, uh, measures up.

How did Texas get dissed in all of this? We're a great state, and we have people with good and bad reps here, just like everywhere else. But the point is, I'm proud of our state--we are as country as can be, well most of us anyway.
As far as Levi, I wish him well, just for the sake of his child. But, I don't think that taking your clothes off for playgirl is the way to go. It's a bad decision, the only people who look at playboy are gay guys. And I know that he will have a loyal following of gay men for the rest of his life, unfortunately. I wouldn't want to be known for taking off my clothes and selling out for a bunch of gay guys. Just my opinion.

I have never heard him sing so do not know if he has any talent in that area. Selling naked pictures in a magazine does not sound like a great way to endear yourself to country fans. Just the opposite I would think. I don't like Sarah Palin but I am just trying to be opjective of him on his own merrits.

I was speechless after reading about Levi's new so-called country career....I always thought country music and their fans believed in family values, this guy needs to really examine himself and see how most of ths country sees him...why do the Hollywood elite and the left-wing media waste our energy on a guy like this, although they hung the bait up to catch him and reel him in, not for his talent, but to continue to try to demean and destroy Sarah Palin. I makes me sick,rather I would have voted for her or not, she was more qualified then anyone on the tickets,and the only one whom stands for what she believes and is not ashamed of it!Shame on this country, for crucifing a woman just for her bibical beliefs! Its something called freedom. I am convinced the media think we are call stupid and gullible!! Sarah Palin, can defend herself, whatever anyone thinks of her,She is a woman of confidence and resolve, very strong! Her daughter and the baby are another story, I guy that would defame her and her family for fame, money and ego...Well, you figure it out...I know I would not contribute 2 cents to his career.We need to get real in this country, a huge price was paid for our freedom, and we sit here blogging about trivial matters when our Great Country is going down the drain..lets use our energy to change the course this country is going in, and blog about how we can make a difference.

Go Levi! I, for one, am proud of you. Stay away from Palin, the wolf killer, and take good care of your baby. Get a good career and be a great dad! Do not listen to all the negative comments. They are just jealous! Listen to your instincts and always put your baby first! I think Bristol is secretly proud of you too! I know I am!
