Martina McBride has always had a creative way of making things work for her. When she was a struggling singer, she famously mailed a demo of her music to RCA Records in a purple envelope marked 'Requested Material' and was signed shortly thereafter. Since that time, Martina has become one of the most respected, awarded and successful women in country music."I've always kind of had a great sense of what works for me and what doesn't and what I feel right about doing or don't feel good about doing," Martina tells GAC. "I follow my heart that way."
Along the way, Martina says she also developed a certain level of confidence that comes with time and experience. "As you get older and as you get success, that's going to make you feel more confident. It's still a challenge. Certain things are challenging. You want to do your best and make a better record, and you want to have a better tour for your fans."
Next month, the superstar teams with another country giant, Trace Adkins, as they embark on the Shine All Night tour.
