Jason Aldean has plenty to be happy about these days. This year alone, the Georgia native spent six weeks at the No. 1 position on the country singles chart with 'She's Country' (two weeks at No. 1) and 'Big Green Tractor' (four weeks at the top spot). His 2009 album 'Wide Open' earned gold-record certification soon after its release. And next week, Jason is up against Keith Urban and Darius Rucker for Favorite Male Artist award in the country category at the American Music Awards. With all of that and more to savor, Jason says there are only three things he just can't live with out, and they happen to be some of the simplest pleasures in life.
"Coffee, because that's kind of what gets my day going, TV, just because I'm a big sports fan -- I've gotta have TV to watch the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs," Jason tells The Boot with a grin. "And sunglasses!"
Jason says he likes his sunglasses so much that sometimes he forgets to take them off which drives his wife, Jessica, crazy. "My wife gets onto me all the time because I'll throw on sunglasses, and I'll go inside somewhere and just never take them off. She gets mad at me for that."
Jason's latest single, 'The Truth' is the third from his 'Wide Open' album. The American Music Awards air Sunday, Nov. 22, on ABC.
