Andy Griggs is counting his blessings today, after fire swept his Nashville-area home on Saturday. The country singer and his family escaped without harm, but their house is reportedly a total loss. "Andy and his family are strong in their spiritual faith and they are very appreciative to be alive," reads a press release sent today from his publicist. "Andy is very touched by all of the support of his fans and all of the messages of concern. He wants to assure everyone that he and his family are fine and he expresses his most sincere thanks to all of this fans and friends for their thoughts and prayers at this time."
There's no word yet on what sparked the blaze.

I've been through a house fire myself, we also lost everything including a beloved family dog so I know what Andy Griggs and his family are going through. It is a terrible thing that I don't wish on anyone. They are in my heart and prayers.

why are you all thanking a diety for saving them? why did the diety let the fire happen in the first place and put the family in danger? would not a good diety have prevented the fire? why does the diety get credit for good stuff but no blame for bad stuff?

If God prevented every bad thing from happening we wouldn't appreciate the good things in life. He didn't promise that nothing bad would happen to anyone, but He did promise to help us throught all bad things.
