Jack Ingram says being on the road with Gary Allan on the 'Get Off on the Pain' tour is "a natural fit." The trek also features the Eli Young Band, as well as Justin Moore and Stoney LaRue on select Texas dates.Jack tells The Boot he has been a fan of Gary's since the release of the singer's 'Used Heart for Sale' album in 1996. "I actually had a record deal about the same time he did, and he obviously went on to grand success a lot earlier than me, but I always knew that he was doing this whole thing in a style that I would be proud of if I was him."
With regard to the tour, Jack says Gary's fans are "fantastic to us. It's probably the first tour I've been on -- opening -- where when I go on, people are standing. Or they stand up and they stay standing the whole time. And it feels good, like they get it."
The next stop on the 'Get Off on the Pain' tour is Colorado Springs, Colo. on Dec. 3.
