After just eight months, Jason Aldean's third studio album 'Wide Open' has been certified platinum, selling one million copies. Jason is the only solo country artist in 2009 to release an album and earn platinum status in the same calendar year."Getting my first platinum album back in 2006 was one of the proudest moments in my career so far," Jason says. "Put this one at the top of that list, too!"
But the Georgia native's success this year goes beyond just album sales. The first two singles from 'Wide Open' -- 'She's Country' and 'Big Green Tractor' -- have spent a total of six weeks at No. 1 on the charts. Jason also received his first American Music Award nomination and released his first live DVD, 'Wide Open: Live & More,' which has been certified gold.
"I have so much to be thankful for going into the holidays," says the singer who is back in the studio working on his fourth album. 'The Truth,' Jason's current single, is currently climbing the charts.
