Rascal Flatts has been 'Unstoppable' this past year, on CD and on tour. And now sometime next year, the best-selling trio will be 'Unshockable,' when they guest star on the CBS crime drama 'CSI' in an episode by that title. The title "is a riff off [the group's] hit album, tour and song," 'CSI' executive producer Carol Mendelsohn tells Entertainment Weekly. "[They'll] be playing themselves. One of the guys -- and tear out my fingernails, but I won't say who -- will become the victim of a crime. The other two 'Rascals' will be suspects ... thus, jeopardizing the future of the band."
But the guys won't stick to just acting in the episode. "Of course, there will be lots of music," Mendelsohn promises, "and perhaps, even a new original song."
Rascal Flatts joins the illustrious ranks of previous 'CSI' guest stars, including Taylor Swift, Diddy, Ludacris and Jesse McCartney .
Meanwhile, to join in and help celebrate the holiday season with their fans, Rascal Flatts has made available at all digital music outlets their digital-exclusive EP, 'Unwrapped.' The EP features classics 'White Christmas,' 'God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen,' 'Jingle Bells' and an a capella offering of 'I'll Be Home for Christmas.' A music video for 'I'll Be Home for Christmas,' filmed during an overnight shoot at New York City's historic Roosevelt Hotel, is also included.
