Billy Ray Cyrus Will Spread Christmas Cheer to the Troops

Billy Ray CyrusBilly Ray Cyrus is celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, as he plans a trip overseas for the holidays.

"I leave for Iraq on Dec. 13, and I'll try to spread a little Christmas cheer to our troops," he tells PEOPLE. "Then I'll go meet the family in England around Christmas Eve. Miley is touring over there. I'd rather be in Tennessee, but I don't think it's a matter of where you're at -- it's who you're with."

One thing the Cyrus family will try to fit in this year is catching one of their favorite Christmas classics on TV. "I guarantee you we'll watch 'Ruldolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' at least once," Billy Ray laughs. "It's got a little warm and fuzzy in it."

Other favorites of Billy Ray's during the Christmas season? "I love Elvis Presley's 'Blue Christmas,'" he says. "I can't wait for it to come on. I crank it up!"

Catch Billy Ray's Hallmark Channel movie, 'Christmas in Canaan,' airing Dec. 12.

Boy are they ever scraping the bottom of the barrel having No-talent Cyrus entertaining the troops. I wonder if any of the troops will even show up for Billy's performance. Iwonder if he plans to sing the only song He knows, which was reportedly stolen
by Cyrus...Why didn't he take his no-talent daughter
with him?

One more day Billy Ray Cyrus spends in Iraq, means one less day spent here...Why would they want a no-talent person like him over there anyway? That is really scraping the bottom of the barrel...His only claim to fame, was a song he stole from someone else
and his daughter is way over-rated too!

I realize that Cyrus' heart is in the right place, but haven't our troops already suffered enough? Our fighting men used to get Bob Hope and Joey Heatherton....now they get Billy Ray Cyrus and Kathy Griffin!

Yes, they should leave him and his daughter over there----he is only doing this to keep his face in front of the public so his ahem "career" won't die if Disney ever lets his daughter loose. Thats the only reason----he is using his little girls "musical talents" chuckle...chuckle ..to further his dead career--hey, maybe they can take the very limited talented Taylor Swift with them--
