Garth Brooks Suing Oklahoma Hospital

Garth BrooksGarth Brooks is suing the Integris Canadian Valley Regional hospital in his hometown of Yukon, Okla. According to Tulsa's KOTV, the entertainer is alleging breach of contract, and seeks the return of an anonymous $500,000 donation.

Garth, who made the donation four years ago, says the hospital promised to build a Living Center which would have the name of his late mother, Colleen, on it. Garth's mom passed away in 1999 after a long battle with cancer. The center in her honor has yet to be built.

The hospital's official website notes that they are undergoing a "major expansion project."

You know it is very sad when people begin to throw stones at glass houses. If he gave the money for his mother then that is exactly where the money should go. Not to line the pockets of the administrators. As for giving money in church that is something totally different. God sees everything we do and we shouldnt be the ones to judge people for what they do...

What I wanted to say........Who really give's a Rats ass about Garth Brook's and his Money. There really is more we could be concerned about, Like bringing our Soldiers home from these stupid wars that we really will never Win. Let them spend Christmas with thier families and never leave again for some Desert soil that they cannot save. We need them home with us. Garth Brooks has more money than any of us writing these comments on here. Do we really care? Let him solve his own problems .Let's fight and try to help bring our gal's & guy's home from these stupid wars today. Merry Christmas everyone.

First off Rudy your comments about Oklahoma are uncalled for. " Armpit of America", from everything being published OK is one of the best places to live right now.
As far as Garth...he is such a @#$Hole. He wants his money back cause his mother's name is not up on a sign....well duh they are still building. I live 1 town south of Yukon & my stomach churns everytime I see his name. He wanted to charge his old high school a butt load of money to come help with a fundraiser...if they had the money to pay him why would they need a fundraiser.

$500,000 will barely pay for the sign above the hospital entrance.

So what if he put a stipulation on it "the Jake", I gave a hundred dollars for a brick with my mom's name on it,to be placed on the sidewalk in front of the Hospice that took care of her when she passed. If they took the money and didn't give me the brick with her name on it, I would not be very happy. My hundred is relevant to Garth's $500,000.

It was a donation for a specific purpose so yes he should have sued. I bet that hospital already spent that money on something else. The hospital where I work Texoma Medical Center in Denison Texas is a proud recipient donor of Reba McEntire and she has donated tons of money for many things for our hospital which every cent has gone for the betterment of our hospital.
