Loretta Lynn is battling the flu and has canceled or postponed her remaining tour dates for 2009.According to a statement on the Coal Miner's Daughter's website, the singer is under doctor's orders to "take some additional time off until after the first of the year due to the flu." The 74-year-old legend is reportedly resting and recovering at home, and looking forward to spending the holidays with family. In January, she'll receive the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy.

Crikey, she's got golf balls in her cheeks. Don't swallow (I mean the golf balls) Loretta. Amazing thing with this gal is that she looked this way when she was 12. By age 14 after the third marriage she finished elementary school and could start to understand the words she was singing. At 74 nobosy cares Loretta. you look like MJ. Just dioe.

Hey Sweet Loretta, I do hope you have a complete recovery, it is harder for us as we get older, ain't it the truth!
I,to am a coal miners daughter, from South eastern, Ky. Letcher County actually, they made parts of your movie there,,the old clinic where I was born, in Fleming, and I guess I can say that movie really depicted life as it really was back then. It was hard, also very cold back them, but it alot better now! Thank you for making that movie, it is a classic! : )
