Brad Paisley, who was born and raised in West Virginia, has openly admitted that many of his friends and relatives were true rednecks when he was growing up. And while he says he was comfortable with his upbringing, he recalls one incident that still makes him cringe."I dated a girl once who was really country and really backwoods," he tells Entertainment Daily. "Her family asked if I had ever eaten groundhog. I said no, and the next time ... they had shot a groundhog and we had it for dinner."
The Grammy-nominated singer is taking time off for the holidays to spend with his family, before continuing his American Saturday Night tour with Justin Moore and Miranda Lambert.
