Carrie Underwood Will Be Rockin' 'Big Hair' on the Big Day

Carrie UnderwoodCarrie Underwood may have only recently become engaged (to hockey player Mike Fisher), but she already knows three things that are must-haves for the big day.

"I want a groom, good food and an open bar," she tells PEOPLE. And while the happy couple haven't set a date yet, nor has she picked out her wedding dress, the superstar knows how she wants to look when she walks down the aisle. "I'm Southern. I like big hair and eyeliner. I want my wedding day to be me, so I'll probably be rocking some big hair and some eyeliner."

While Carrie recently admitted that distance was sometimes a challenge in their relationship, she says they've found ways to stay connected while on the road. "We're big texters," she reveals. "We talk on the phone. i-chatting, I don't know what we'd do without it, to be honest - and face time is the most important."

Carrie, who took home the People's Choice Award last night for Favorite Country Artist, is getting ready for face time with her fans on the 'Play On' tour, which kicks off in March, with opening acts Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia.

A Southern girl? She's from Oklahoma. And big hair and eyeliner are certainly not unique to southern girls -- New Jersey girls have had that going on for years. Even the annoying little New York girl on MTV's Jersey Shore told Jay Leno that teased hair and eyeliner were a must. As for the open bar at a wedding it all depends on what type of Christian you are -- Baptists forbid it but many other Christian religions certainly allow it.

I believe in God. That being said there is no reason why "christians" cant drink. I enjoy a very good craft beer whenever I can. There is a thing called in moderation. I am sick of other so called christians passing judgement on people who do drink. Drinking does not make you a bad or evil person. You all may not want to drink and thats fine but dont start throwing daggers at those who do. I am sure you are not 100% perfect. Love when people use the bible to their advantage or out of context, instead of reading it for their own personal growth and lesson. Worry about your own life before you pass judgement. And did you remember what happened during prohibition?

I'm so sick of hearing about these celebs, they are nobody special! Why cause they have alot of money to waste and spend on drugs? Give me a break!!! Hollywood seems to turn majority of female celebs into whores! If i was blessed with all that fame and fortune, i would never waste it on drugs and alcohol nor would i ever let anyone persuade me into doing stuff that i don't want to do! Don't get mw wrong, i do like alot of different celebs but some i just can't stand to watch, lol

If you people believe that Underwood cares what you think then you must believe she is country and not pop music.

Lynn, My husband and I had a 'dry' reception. We've been married for 28 years and going. So don't lump ALL weddings together. It's NOT the reception that causes divorces, it's the couple.

Didn't you just bash catholics by saying that Lynn? And do research - just because SOME priests do horrible things doesn't make all priests bad or "not working well for Catholics". "SOME" christians are idiots, so that that mean christianity has not worked out too well for humankind?
