Tim McGraw, the Dixie Chicks, Jon Bon Jovi and Sheryl Crow are among the artists whose music is featured on the just-released soundtrack compilation, 'By the People: For the People,' inspired by the film, 'By the People: The Election of Barack Obama.'

CMTT reports that funds raised from the download of songs from the compilation (which will only be available digitally at iTunes) will help the United Way support Gulf Coast rebuilding efforts in conjunction with the non-profit Enterprise Community Partners.

Tracks include the Chicks' 'I Hope' and Tim McGraw's 'Free Man,' along with 'Rise Up' from Sheryl Crow,' and tracks by the Dave Matthews Band, India.Arie and My Morning Jacket. Also available for download is a video of Bruce Springsteen performing 'This Land Is Your Land.'
