Lee Brice Believes Randy Houser Can Get It 'Dunn'

Lee Brice, Randy HouserLee Brice knows a thing or two about soul. He's the writer of Garth Brooks' monster hit, 'More Than a Memory' and a soulful singer in his own right. But Lee believes now that Brooks & Dunn are packing it in, there's one particular singer who just might be heir apparent to Ronnie Dunn.

"There's kind of a void," Lee tells The Boot, "the Ronnie Dunn soulful-type voice is gonna go away now that they're done. And I think Randy Houser is the perfect guy. He's got that voice, man, he's got that thing. He's one of my buddies, and I think he's one of the most talented people in this town."

Lee is showcasing his own talent with a brand-new single, 'Love Like Crazy,' a tune he tells Country Weekly reminded him of his own family. "When I first heard 'Love Like Crazy' it made me think of my grandparents. My grandparents lived this song and i knew immediately that I had to record it."

'Love Like Crazy' is on Lee Brice's new album, 'Picture of Me,' which is due out later this year.

I do like Randy Houser, but he cannot compete with Ronnie Dunn. I do not think any country singers (out there now) can match Ronnie.

First, the last sentence to this article needs to be altered to say 'Love Like Crazy' is on Lee Brice's new album, 'Picture of Me,' which is due out later this year provided Curb doesn't screw him over again.

Secondly, Ronnie Dunn as in "Brooks & Dunn" won't be replaced, but what about solo Ronnie Dunn. Did you ever think there was a reason he didn't really make it as a solo artist pre-Brooks & Dunn? And Randy Houser sounds so much like Ronnie but has more soul to his voice.

And if you don't like the idea of Randy Houser "replacing" Ronnie Dunn, maybe you'd prefer that Jake Owen do his Ronnie Dunn impression and that can replace Ronnie.

I must agree with dunnhooked's comments. Ronnie Dunn cannot be replaced , and as she said, he is going to release a solo album, so he will still be heard on the airwaves, hopefully. I for one am looking forward to his solo effort.

You can't replace legends, though I do like Randy's Anything Goes. I'm gonna miss Kix.

Excuse me but Ronnie Dunn isn't going away,, In fact Ronnie is working on a solo album now.To be released later this year.. So he don't need to be replaced. Randy can't hold a candle to Mr. Dunn's vocals
