Taylor Swift Releases 'Valentine's Day' Song, 'Today Was a Fairytale'

Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift will be making her acting debut in the upcoming romantic comedy 'Valentine's Day,' but she's also contributing her musical skills to the movie. The singer has recorded a new song, 'Today Was a Fairytale,' for the film's soundtrack.

Sticking to the boy-meets-girl lyrics that have landed her such hits as 'You Belong With Me' and 'Love Story,' Taylor sings about princes and the magic of kissing in the new song.

'Today Was a Fairytale' is the first single off of the 'Valentine's Day' soundtrack, which will be released Feb. 9. Taylor's song 'Jump Then Fall' can also be found on the album, as well as tracks from Jewel, Willie Nelson and more. The movie -- featuring Taylor Swift appearing alongside Taylor Lautner -- hits theaters Feb. 12. Listen to 'Today Was a Fairytale' after the jump.

Just watched the film for the 5th time today! I totally love Taylor Swift and every single one of her songs including this! :) I'd love it to go to number!

Love this song! I just can't get it out of my head. I close my eyes and just move a little with it and forget the cares of the day for a few moments. Thank you Taylor! What a beautiful song with all kinds of interesting aspects to the composition.

okai wendy did you go on every post that mentioned Taylor just to say negative thongs. Lorna (i do not use the lords name in vain, I use my own) you have no life.

ps. not swearing is a new thing I have going on, instead of a swear word I say cupcakes or unicorn ect., and I use my own name instead of the lords. its my new years resolution. lol

PLEASE tell me the songs not going to be as cheesy/sucky as Love Story and You Belong With Me. Those are on my list of Most Horrible Songs of 2009.
