George Strait issued a statement today through his publicist, saying that this weekend's scheduled shows with Reba McEntire and special guest Lee Ann Womack are being postponed, due to the threat of severe winter weather."Due to our concern for the safety of our fans and crew, we are rescheduling shows this weekend," George said. "We regret the change but it's best to take all the necessary precautions."
Friday night's (Jan. 29) show at the Thompson Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tenn. (where forecasters are predicting six inches or more of snow on top of freezing rain) has been rescheduled for April 2.
