Kellie Pickler and Little Brother Break Down Barriers

Kellie PicklerKellie Pickler learned a powerful lesson about love and relationships while filming the video for her recent hit, 'Didn't You Know How Much I Love You,' all thanks to her little brother. Taking nine-year old Eric along to the Dominican Republic for the video shoot, Kellie says she witnessed firsthand how children can transcend any obstacle, including language, to form a bond.

"There were two little boys there," the singer tells GAC. "One was French, and the other was Spanish, and they could not understand a word each other was saying. And the most beautiful thing I think I've ever seen: I saw them tryin' to communicate, but there was that communication barrier there, and Eric finally just ran up to me, he {said], 'Sissy, I want to play with them, but they can't understand me.' And I went, 'You'll figure out a way to communicate with them.'"

Which is exactly what the creative youngster did. Soon a lively, multi-language game of tag ensued, lasting most of the day. "They were talkin' to each other in each other's languages, and they didn't know what they were saying," Kellie continues. "So finally, they'd just take each other's hands and pull 'em in whatever direction they wanted to go. You know, like, 'Come see this,' and play. It was so beautiful. That just goes to show you that there should be nothing that separates us as human beings. There should never be a barrier. There should never be a wall there."

Kellie, who along with Gloriana, is continuing with Taylor Swift's Fearless tour, also revealed she is getting ready to hit the road with another act, rumored to be Rascal Flatts.

Kelly is one on the best what I don't underdstand is why shw doesn't get the attention she deserves.

I think she is right up there as one of the current
top three best country singers, and the best looking

Spanish and French are different!! Kellie comes across as the ditzy blond that was on American Idol but she is very loving, kind-spirited and what she seen that day with her little brother and the two boys was definitely barriers that need to be broken. My boys would do the same thing. They would not leave a child out just because of not understanding. My youngest is speech delayed. We did leave him out because of his delays. Instead we adopted him... Do we understand him all the time? No, but we know he will get it across to us some way.
Bless you Kellie!! It was awesome to see you at our county fair a couple years ago. :)

Oh for goodnes sakes...so many meanspirited people. Give the gal a break...I didn't take Latin, but I think most people would find that Spanish and French are pretty different, especially if you are a child.

I speak Spanish and have to say that this Kellie Pickler sounds like an idiot. With French and Spanish being romance languages (rooted in Latin), they are similar enough that a basic conversation can be carried on between two people speaking entirely in their respective language. When Kellie says "There were two little boys there,One was French, and the other was Spanish, and they could not understand a word each other was saying", she is assuming that because she (presumably) doesn't understand the two boys, they MUST not understand each other. This article is stupid.
