Alison Krauss is undoubtedly the favorite singer of countless country music fans. But now the multiple Grammy winner is revealing which artists top her own list."My current favorite female country signer is Lee Ann Womack," she tells CMT. "She is just amazing. She has such personality and character, and she is so feminine. She doesn't have to prove anything to anybody. She is the sexiest female singer in country music, I think."
Listing Merle Haggard as her all-time favorite male singer, Alison also reveals she is a huge a fan of past collaborator, Emmylou Harris. Recording 'Didn't Leave Nobody But the Baby,' along with Gillian Welch, for the 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?' soundtrack, Alison says she is still in awe of the legend. "Emmylou knows what she's doing when she walks out onstage with her guitar," she states.
Getting ready to hit the road this summer to support her new album, she will first join Kenny Rogers to film his TV special, 'The First 50 Years,' along with Lionel Richie, The Oak Ridge Boys, Wynonna, Dolly Parton and several others.
