Alan Jackson has revealed the dates of his upcoming Freight Train tour in April, kicking off ijust after his latest album, also titled 'Freight Train,' drops Mar. 30. When it came time to pick a title for Alan's 14th studio release, the singer says 'Freight Train' seemed to fit both the disc and his career perfectly. "It sounded different and just kind of stuck out," notes the superstar. "I guess when you really think about it, we've been rolling along here for a lot of years ... just going like a freight train."
Alan's Freight Train tour kicks off Apr. 8 in Estero, Fla., and will continue for two full months, stopping in a total of 15 cities. Also along for the ride are Josh Turner and Chris Young.
Alan's new album includes eight original songs penned by the singer as well as four more tunes, including 'It's Just That Way,' the first single, and a duet with Lee Ann Womack on the Vern Gosdin classic, 'Till the End.'
Alan adds other whistle stops along the way that will include appearances on the 'Late Show With David Letterman,' 'Today,' 'The Tonight Show' and the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show.'
