Lady Antebellum Lead ACM Nominations

Nominations were announced today for the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, and the name heard more than anyone else was Lady Antebellum. The country trio lead the pack with seven ACM nods this year, as they are up for Top Vocal Group, Album of the Year, Single, Song and Video of the Year. They were also nominated as producers for Single and composers for Song of the Year, both for their chart-topping, crossover smash, 'Need You Now.'

Following Lady Antebellum are Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, who each have six nominations. Carrie is the ACM's reigning Entertainer of the Year. She'll compete for that coveted title again this year alongside Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band. For the third year in a row, fans will be the ones who determine the winner of this category, the night's biggest award. The newcomer categories -- Top New Solo Vocalist, Top New Vocal Group and Top New Vocal Duo -- will also be determined by the fans in an online vote, available here.

Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton read the nods live Tuesday on CBS' 'The Early Show.' The two heard their own names called, as Reba is up for Top Female Vocalist, and Blake scored a nod for Vocal Event of the Year. Reba will return for the 12th year to host the broadcast, which airs live from Las Vegas on April 18.
