Keith Urban Taking 'Idol' Kris Allen on Tour

Keith Urban has announced that 2009 'American Idol' winner Kris Allen will be the opening act on several of Keith's 2010 tour dates. The first chance to catch Kris on the tour will be at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on April 23.

Additionally, Kris will open Keith's upcoming shows at the California Mid State Fair in Paso Robles, Calif. (July 28), the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis (Aug. 14), the Great Allentown Fair in Allentown, Pa. (Sept. 3) and the Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Junction, Vt. (Sept. 4).

During the 'American Idol' season finale last May, Keith and Kris shared the stage for a duet of Keith's 'Kiss a Girl.'

vikmikpa-- No, I'm talking about Keith Urban! Taylor Swift is another one though! Having fans does not make one a good musician or a good anything; the devil has lots of fans, so what's your point? I'm very sorry that you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to music. I'm sure the next person you hear on the radio that is being talked up..well, you'll be brainwashed into that too! You obviously don't have a clue as to what heartfelt lyrics or music is!I run into a lot of people with your mentality that try to flap their gums and don't know a thing about what they're arguing! You're just another deceived fan that will eventually come to know that Keith Urban and other "today's country" acts, are not what you thought they were.

racie470...You are a bigger idiot! Keith has worked hard at sticking cocaine up his nose and his guitar playing says absolutely nothing. I guarantee if you listened to 10 guitarist....you could not pick out which one is Keith! He's a dime a dozen musician that got lucky with a record deal. I know that you're blinded by the lights and concert atmosphere, so I forgive your total ignorance...Get well soon!

So it looks like Kris is jumping on the Country music bandwagon. I wonder how all this pans out. Kris never gave any indication that he was even interested in Country music. Hopefully, this won't be a train wreck.

I am surprise to hear that Kris will be touring with Keith Urban. He has always made it clear that he wasn't interested in doing Country music. He definitely didn't represent himself in the Country genre on AI. I am curious to see how Keith Urban's fans will respond.

Happy for Kris. Indeed he is a very nice, sweet guy just like Keith Urban. What's the expression; "the squeeky wheel gets oiled?" (Refering to Adam Lambert who was seen all over the place for a while)

Like most of today's acts, Keith Urban is a store bought musician that says absolutely nothing with his music! Music Row here in Nashville is not signing real musicians that can really sing and play because then the music is in the hands of the musician and not the record company. If the record companies sign no talent people(as they have been doing), well then the record label can tell the person what to sing and what to play! The result-- stupid songs with absolutely no feeling or emotion whatsoever.
