Blake Shelton answers a lot of questions -- it goes with the territory of being a country star. And recently, the journalism students of Mehlville High School in St. Louis, Mo., who publish the online newspaper called 'Student Prints,' had the opportunity for their own probing Q&A session with country's most famous Twitter bug. (Our favorite bit of Blake-style advice: "Do as I say, not as I do.") Here are a few of the questions Blake answered for the future journalists of America (with our thanks to the students to doing our job for us!):
What was your dream job when you were little?
My dream was always to run a backhoe or [bulldozer]. I now know that I suck at that!
How do you handle the stress and pressure of your job?
I handle stress by taking enough time off to let it go. Hunting does that for me.
If you could give a piece of advice to a hopeful artist, what would it be?
I would encourage anybody to pursue their dream ... but after college ... do as I say, not as I do.
Do you have any idols or a role models you look up to?
My heroes were always Earl Thomas Conley and Travis Tritt. Great singers!
What is your number one goal you wish to achieve in life?
I still want to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
