Brad Paisley Crunches His Tour Numbers

Brad Paisley recently wrapped up his eight-month, nationwide American Saturday Night tour. Playing an astonishing 74 dates for almost 1.2 million fans, Brad is now giving us a by-the-numbers look at what it takes to make a tour of such magnitude come together!

Covering 1,151, 880 miles with 12 semi-trucks and 10 tour buses, the band and crew used 230,376 gallons of diesel fuel, 924 hotel rooms, consumed 41,000 bottles of water, and had 17,955 meals served. While on stage, they went through 12, 840 guitar picks, 3,570 AA batteries, 1,056 packs of guitar strings, 840 nine volt batteries and 214 pairs of drumsticks.

Wearing out 74 cowboy hats, the 95-minute show used 340,000 watts of power, with 80,000 lbs. total flying weight. Using 400 of the 34,000 photos taken by the tour photographer, they also used 836 square feet of video.

Not for the faint of heart, the tour boasts 45 stage jumpers, 17 people arrested for lewd behavior -- nine in Charlotte, S.C. and eight in Tampa, Fla. -- two births and one Las Vegas wedding.

And one very large bruise from the last show of the tour!

Brad is nominated for four ACM Awards, including the coveted Entertainer of the Year. Not one to stay still for long, dates for his upcoming H20 World Tour will be announced next week.

Hate to be picky about your article, but there is no Charlotte, SC. Was it Charleston, SC, or Charlotte, NC? Big difference!

A new hat for each tour date? Something tells me he wasn't "wearing them out". That just sounds like a waste of money, selfish really. Musicians should take a lesson from Willie Nelson and have their buses run on biodiesel.

He gives a hat out to a child at the end of each show...the author is wrong, they are not "worn out" and you are a jerk for assuming he is being selfish...it is exactly the opposite, so get your facts straight.

I know this may seem like a small thing, but not if you are from South Carolina. The beautiful city of Charlotte is in North Carolina. If you are going to be a writer, you need to get facts straight.
