The annual Newport Folk Festival has added even more star power to the already stellar line-up this year. The three-day event, now in it's 51st year, is combining artists from all genres to join in the annual celebration.John Prine and Steve Martin, along with the Steep Canyon Rangers have been added to a long list of previously announced artists. Performers already slated to take the stage include the Avett Brothers, Doc Watson & David Holt, Justin Townes Earle, Sam Bush and Tim O'Brien, among others.
The Newport Folk Festival has previously hosted some of music's biggest legends, including Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris and Ralph Stanley. The festival is held July 30-August 1 in Newport, R.I. Tickets will be available on March 26 by clicking here.
