Trace Adkins is gearing up to release his highly anticipated new single, 'This Ain't No Love Song,' on May 17. It's Trace's first release from his forthcoming album on Toby Keith's newly formed record label, Show Dog-Universal. The song, penned by Tony Lane, Marcel and David Lee tells the story of a simple country boy who doesn't get hung up on all the romantic love songs to tell his lady how he feels. Trace sings the song with simplicity and plenty of backwoods country charm.
"Toby has said this new music has a smile on it, and maybe that's just a reflection of where I'm at right now," Trace says. "I have this new sense of invigoration and making this record was a lot of fun."
Trace's first album on Show Dog-Universal, 'Cowboy's Back in Town,' hits stores on August 24. In the meantime, fans can catch Trace on the road hitting some of the largest markets of his career. He joins boss-man Toby on his American Ride tour beginning June 19 in New Jersey.
