Taylor Swift is using the little downtime she has on her Fearless tour to work on the the follow-up to the multi-platinum album of that same title. The country superstar expects she'll wrap up recording for her third studio album over the next few months."[The new album] is going great actually," Taylor tells MTV News. "I've been writing it for the last two years, so this summer it's all about the finishing touches and getting in there in the studio and recording the last couple of songs."
And of course when asked what inspired her forthcoming project, the superstar said, "What do you think? Boys and love."
As she has mentioned previously, Taylor often writes about what she has experienced as it happens, which means she probably has recorded numerous songs already. "When I put out an album, I'd like to think that when people listen to that album, it's like a diary of what I've been through in the last two years. So it's a really fun way to express how I feel and what I'm going through."
Taylor, who was named one of TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People, takes the Fearless tour to St. Paul, Minn., on Friday (May 7).
