Trace Adkins will receive the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution's most prestigious award, the DAR Medal of Honor, during a special ceremony in Nashville on June 5. Nashville's Sarah Polk chapter of the DAR is recognizing Trace for his numerous humanitarian works and patriotism and his outstanding service to his state and nation.
A longtime supporter of the U.S. military, Trace has done two USO tours overseas, performing for troops in Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He has also been recognized for his service both to the USO and the Wounded Warrior project.
The former 'Celebrity Apprentice' contestant will have a busy summer this year as he prepares to embark on a tour with Toby Keith and for the release of his first album for Show Dog Universal, 'Cowboy's Back In Town,' on August 24.
