Shania Twain has been rumored to be working on new music for the past several months. And now the singer-songwriter reveals she wants to take her music to an entirely new audience."I would like to visit people, perhaps desperate in sensitive areas, and bring them comfort through music," Shania tells the Tribune de Genéve (for a translation, click here and input text). "I imagine something very simple, acoustical."
The Canadian native, speaking at the ninth charity gala for the Swiss Red Cross (for which she serves as an honorary patron), spoke out in response to an increased focus by the organization to work with countries suffering from poverty, including India, Bangladesh and Bolivia.
After taking some time off to deal with the unexpected split from former husband, Robert John "Mutt" Lange, the multiple Grammy-winner is moving full-speed ahead. In addition to a new album and proposed tour, she's also launching her own TV show, 'Why Not? With Shania Twain' on Oprah Winfrey's new network, OWN.
