Keith Urban recently walked away with the CMT Award for Male Video of the Year for 'Til Summer Comes Around,' but the Aussie made it clear in his acceptance speech he had more on his mind than another trophy."I want to send my deepest love and prayers to all the families around the Gulf who are going through an insane time right now," said the superstar, referring to the devastating oil spill occurring in the Gulf of Mexico. "We've never seen anything like this and -- emotions I can't even find words for while I watch this thing that's happening on TV. So Nic [wife Nicole Kidman] and Sunday and I want to send our love and prayers out to all you guys. We love you all. God Bless."
Keith recently responded to another disaster -- the Nashville flood -- by performing on the Nashville Flood Relief telethon, which raised more than $1.2 million to aid in the recovery effort.
Back in the studio working on another album, Keith is also spending much of his summer out on the road, with 2009 'American Idol' winner Kris Allen joining him to open several of the shows.
On Saturday, June 12, Keith will be at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., sharing the stage with the Eagles and the Dixie Chicks.
