Greatest Love Stories: Amy Grant & Vince Gill

Amy Grant & Vince Gill

Amy and Vince could easily wear the title of "Mr. & Mrs. Nashville." No other Music City couple better personifies generosity, creativity and dedication to community. Whether hosting his annual charity golf tournament, The Vinny, or raising money to aid Nashville flood victims, they are often spearheading efforts to help those in need.

In March, the Grammy-winning couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Amy has three children from her first marriage and Vince has a daughter Jenny, whom Amy refers to as her "I do daughter." Together they have 9-year-old Corinna Grant Gill.

"He's not ever in a hurry, in a conversation or with a kiss. And that's really, really rare," Amy told Good Housekeeping magazine of her hubby.

"The companionship is amazing," Vince told Larry King during a 2003 interview. "Physical attraction is great, but then there's an awful lot of time and the rest of the day that you have to fill."

Hey guys.... give the couple a break. He who is without sin...cast the first stone !

Personally, It makes me happy to see the two of them together and how happy they are. Too bad they didn't meet sooner...it could and saved some some heartache.

I am partial though... these two are my absolute favs. Match made in Heaven in my eyes.

I guess its interesting to see the "great love stories", But lets see. Carrie Underwood less than two years. Aand with all of the flack aimed at Leann Rhimes over her Affair, lets apply the same rules here. Faith Hill was engaged to someone else when she met Tim. As someone else pointed out Amy Grant and Vince were both Married when they began the relationship. To add a few more Garth, Tricia? Lets not be hypocrites about things.

Hi Lisa

Considering they were both married, when they started dating, I don't consider them someone we should look up to.

Incredible. Yes, it's easy to see how Amy and Vince--married TEN WHOLE YEARS--are held up as an example of one of Nashville's "It" couples. Professing Christians both, they're only on their second marriage, their first blissful unions having both dissolved in adultry scandals. Thanks for reminding us once again why we're glad we never made it big in Music City.

I read an interview Amy gave where she said, "Vince and I had been rehearsing for him to sing with me on an album. Finally I walked over and gave him a big hug and told him I wanted to do that all day." Vince and her were both married at the time. So, not to let that little thing get in the way of good sex, they simply committed adultery. But hey, what's a little breaking of the commandments between a couple of nice Christians?
