Hank Williams, Jr. has one question for sports fans: "Are you ready for some football?" The country legend will once again sing -- for his 22nd year in a row -- the opening theme song for the NFL's 'Monday Night Football.'It was Hank's late manager, Merle Kilgore, who helped him reach a new fan base of football enthusiasts more than two decades ago. "Merle said, 'Brother, they think they want to try you on 'Monday Night Football,'" Hank reminisces with Nashville's Tennessean newspaper. "It was a one-year deal. Seven Super Bowls and all those years later, here we are."
Hank is not the only country superstar to team with the NFL. Faith Hill sang NBC's Sunday night football theme song during the 2008-2009 season, while hubby Tim McGraw performed a special concert to kick off last year's season. And most recently, Carrie Underwood sang the national anthem at the 2010 Super Bowl.
