Jaron and the Long Road to Love has just been added to Toby Keith's American Ride tour. The singer, whose 'Getting Dressed in the Dark' album is the highest-charting debut album from a new artist this year on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, will join Toby and Trace Adkins on several dates of the trek.
Country music listeners have been connecting with the debut single from Jaron, 'Pray for You,' which has topped the iTunes chart and continues to climb the Billboard chart as well. And while he'll be playing that song and others from his debut album, released last month on Jaronwood/Big Machine Records, he'll no doubt have other things on his mind during his time on the road.
Jaron, whose pop music career as one-half of the duo Evan and Jaron (with his twin brother) yielded the hit 'Crazy for This Girl,' revealed earlier this year that he would likely be making many calls to his brother from the road.
"Evan's always been an incredibly hard worker -- he ran the show," Jaron admits. "He's much more rooted than I am. I'm a little bit out there. I think they call it a free spirit. I love to have a lot of fun. I am a deep guy, but I do like to have fun."
The fun begins Friday, July 16, at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum, Bloomington, Ill.
