"That first weekend was a little chaotic because Toby and his crew were having to work with all totally brand new gear because they lost everything in the flood," Trace tells The Boot. "I felt bad for them. It kind of made things a little frantic, but we pulled it off."
Over the years, Trace has learned how to handle all the unexpected problems that come along with major tours. Just last year, the singer was part of two of the highest-grossing tours in country music -- the co-headlining Shine All Night tour with Martina McBride and the first leg of Toby's American Ride tour. Trace says he has picked up a lot of tips along the way from acts he has toured with, ranging all the way back to 1996 when he first hit the music scene.
"I've probably stolen a little bit of something from everybody I've ever seen [live]," Trace says. "I'm just a hodgepodge of everybody who's ever been an influence on me. That's a long and varied list."
Jaron and the Long Road to Love is also out with Trace and Toby on the American Ride tour. A complete list of tour dates can be found here. Trace's latest single, 'This Ain't No Love Song,' is from the forthcoming album, 'Cowboy's Back in Town,' which hits stores August 17.
