Despite all the buzz about the album, Jason says that the sound doesn't veer too far from what his fans know and love.
"I don't want to say it's more of the same because it's a little different," Jason tells The Boot. "But it's our type of album, the same [sound] as we have always done it.
Although Jason promises plenty of new sounds on the upcoming album, he also says there may be an unexpected tune or two in the upcoming shows.
"We always have a cover or two we put in our show," says Jason, noting that covers of Guns N' Roses and Bryan Adams are among those he's sung in the past. "That usually happens spur of the moment. We'll be riding down the road and I'll hear a song and think that'd be cool to cover that and we throw in the show. It's kind of fun to go back and plays songs I used to play in the club days that I haven't played in a long time."
Jason continues his concert tour on Thursday, July 29, in Boston. Click here for upcoming dates.
