"I'm sorry, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!" he protested. Visibly shaken and confused, Taylor was quickly escorted offstage as the audience booed the rapper. When Beyoncé won Video of the Year later in the evening, she graciously allowed Taylor to take the stage and finish her acceptance speech.
This year's awards show will be held September 12 in Los Angeles. Taylor will be up against not only Beyonce for 'Video Phone' featuring Lady Gaga, but also Ke$ha for 'Tik Tok,' Katy Perry for 'California Gurls,' and Lady Gaga for 'Bad Romance.' Gaga leads this year's nominations with a record 13; read the full list of nominees here.
Fans can also look forward to Taylor's performance on the CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock TV special, which airs September 1 on ABC. Hosted by Tim McGraw and featuring performances by country's hottest stars, including Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire and more, the special will also feature a collaborative performance with Dierks Bentley, Jamey Johnson and Miranda Lambert, and behind-the-scene footage of a day in the life of Lady Antebellum, gleaned from cameras following them around for a day at the CMA Music Festival last June.
As a special treat, Taylor will be giving fans a taste of her upcoming album, 'Speak Now,' on the television special, when she performs the album's first single, 'Mine' for the very first time.
'Speak Now,' Taylor's third studio album, will be released October 25.
