Taylor Swift's 'Mine' Video Has Lots of 'Little' Surprises

Taylor Swift's 'Mine' video marks a whole new level of acting for the country superstar. The song, she explains, was inspired by her tendency to "run from love." But the heroine in the video overcomes hardships to find love -- getting married and having two children! It's Taylor's first time to play a bride and a mom.

"The little kids on set were my favorite part about shooting this video, because there was such child-like energy about the whole shoot," Taylor tells The Boot. "There was always some little kid laughing in the background or screaming and chasing each other around. I nicknamed them 'The Littles.'"

Some of 'The Littles' were handpicked by Taylor to be in the video. Professional wrestler Jeff Jarrett's daughter Jaclyn plays the young Taylor, who is tormented by her parents' arguing. Jeff's other daughters, Jeryn and Joslyn, also appear in the clip. Taylor has reportedly grown close to Jarrett's kids after meeting them back in 2007, when their mom was battling breast cancer. She treated the wrestler's little girls to not only their first taste at country stardom but also a vacation!

"You see a few different kids in the video, but what you don't realize is that every single one of them has really big families," Taylor explains. "So I flew all of their families to Maine, so that they could have everyone there like they were on vacation. So, there were so many more kids running around than you saw on screen ... probably 20 kids under the age of 10."

The 'Mine' video was shot in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, Maine, earlier this summer. Not long after Taylor and her video crew arrived, word spread like wildfire across the tiny town that she was there. Fans gathered at the scene of the wedding, Christ Church in Kennebunk, to get a glimpse of their favorite singer.

"It was really cool having the town all come together and all be buzzing about the video," says Taylor, who happily posed for pictures and signed autographs. "People showed up to where we were filming wearing my tour T-shirts. It's a small town, and they really showed us a lot of love. It was wonderful."

All the rednecks love her because she reminds them of some of the family members they like having sex with.

Taylor Swift, if thats her real name, is just ANOTHER pretty face in the fantasy world of stardom. I could care less about her life. There are thousands of caring people who deserve more news coverage than her. Stop living in a phony world my friends...........Let me ask you this. What has she done for YOU?

Her "tendency to run from love"? She's 19 or 20 right? Please. And she can't sing a note. Worst thing to happen to Country Music in a very long time.

Let me see if I can explain why people hate her because she can't sing and if you don't believe that watch the video performance with stevie nicks again. I am in the music business and I had the pleasure of working with a singer from the Boston Symphony, she has the voice of an angel and perfect singing on key 99% of the time. You know what? She won't be famous because she isn't a cute little blond that people either want to be or to do, if you catch my drift. I happen to think Taylor Swift is a fine song writer but I know what can be done in a studio to make a singer who has bad pitch sound like they don't. That's why many POP artists today lip sync because they are tuned to perfection in the studio and can't recreate it live. I don't hate Taylor I hate the music business for killing an art form.

I don't understand how or why she runs from love; she IS the complete package:

White
Blonde
Blue Eyes
Gorgeous
Cover Girl

How can a girl possessing these qualities run from love? I'm an insecure woman myself, but Beautiful girls like this frustrate the hell out of me.

Taylor is beautiful, young, thin, blonde....but everybody is still just a person underneath and evryone has insecurities about something. I think she's been scarred a bit by guys she's dated & that has made her careful with her heart. When your careful with your heart you can tend to "run from love" because your scared of the feeling or your scared that, once again, it's just words.

I've been through that too many times to count and it's always been the ones I believed I could find real love with hurt me in soome way and now, I tend to push ppl away before they can me. JMO

As for the song, I quite like it despite not being in her target demographic. There are other, and, to me, better songs but listening to what she says in comparison to her previous songs and you can hear her growing up along the way.

Can't we just leave people alone by trying not to post so many negative responses to comments. One person with a negative comment or a negative response to a negative comment is enough negativity to go around as it is. Why is there always some stupid negative popularity contest? There's just too much trolling here. We should be sharing ideas not hating on each other all the time.

I cannot believe the level of hate towards this girl that there is out there. Wow, she is such a great role model, and she does a very good job of making music, whether you think she is a good singer or not. Maybe some of her charm is that she isn't the best singer in the world, but she has a panache that makes up for it. Go Taylor! Keep making those award-winning videos and cds, and ticking off all the naysaying bitter cynics.
